Spelling packet has been modified. The new packet will commence when we return from Fall Break. Please read below to see each night's homework.

Homework for ELA is the same EVERY SINGLE WEEK! Get to know the routine and what your child is supposed to be completing each night. If you forget, log back onto this site and refresh your memory or check in their student planner.

MONDAY:

Spelling: Write each word 4 times each (in print not cursive)

Vocab: Hoover High Five (HH5) Flashcards with definitions (word on front/definition on back)

Tuesday:

Spelling: Use a dictionary to define each of the 20 words (DO NOT MAKE UP YOUR OWN DEFINITION...THIS HAPPENS MORE OFTEN THAN YOU WOULD THINK :) ) MUST USE DICTIONARY!

Vocab: HH5 Flashcards with example sentence beneath definition on the back

Wednesday:

Spelling: Use each spelling word in a sentence. Underline the word in each sentence (20 sentences total).

Vocab: HH5 Flashcards with drawing of word on the front under the word

Thursday:

Spelling: Take a practice spelling test with parents (rewrite each misspelled word 3 times on the back). Must turn the test in on Friday!

Vocab: HH5 Flashcards with parent signature on front of each card (parents sign each card after student has shown you that they fully know the definition and are prepared for the vocab test on Friday)

Friday:

No homework given over the weekend!
Today we take a spelling test and vocabulary test in ELA. We also take a social studies quiz in social studies class.
